Hello!
My name is Elizabeth Clark- I am a New York City based costume designer and artist. I grew up all across the American southwest, (but mostly say I'm from the great city of Austin, Texas). I learned to sew at 10 and I had my first foray into costume design at 14 years old and haven't looked back since!
Prior to receiving my BFA in Production and Design from Pace University, I studied fashion design for three years. Additionally in college I studied fine art, art history, draping, scenic, lighting, and sound design. I've worked as a costume assistant for national tours, off-broadway, television, film, photoshoots and live events. I'm passionate about finding new ways to diversify storytelling through clothing, and infusing my background in fashion design with costume design. I enjoy working on new works, queer theatre, and re-imaginings of classical pieces.
Outside of theatre, I am always reading (enclark1 on goodreads!), painting, or going for a walk in my Brooklyn neighborhood.
